Sen. Cardin splits with alleged hearing room romper

The Washington Examiner is reporting that Sen. Ben Cardin's (D-MD) office has confirmed that the aide accused of appearing in an explicit video filmed in a Senate office building is no longer employed by the US Senate.
The eight-second video was published Friday evening by The Daily Caller, a far right news outlet, and showed two men engaged in sexual activity inside of a hearing room in the Hart Senate Office Building. The Daily Caller blurred the face of the staffer in the video because they had not yet identified him.

The aide identified widely on social media but not officially confirmed by any source known to The Political Landscape at the time of writing, Aiden Maese-Czeropski, made the following statement on his Linked-In account:
"This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda. While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace. Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters."
Sen. Cardin's office had no further comment on what they referred to as a "personal matter".
